Why the name Misfit Toy Society?
“Shepherd of Misfit Toys” is a name, not asked for, but given approximately 10 years ago. To be specific it was Shepherd of the Island of Misfit Toys. To many outside of these circles the name makes little sense and sounds like a premise for a cartoon series. Prayerfully thought out and knowing that the name wouldn’t make sense to most, we canvased a group of current and former military, contractors, law enforcement and employees of government agencies and the feedback was
unanimously favorable with 
responses such as “I love the idea
and I love the visual
representation of it!”
